Larry Wayne Brower, 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Graveside services with full military rites will be conducted on Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park with Rev. Jonathan Lewis officiating.
Larry was born on Feb. 12, 1947 in Guilford County, the son of Joe Douglas and Ina Jinnette Brower, Sr. He retired after 20 years of service in the US Army. Following his military career, he worked with Lowes Home Improvement, Sears Distribution and Car Quest. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a member of the NRA.
Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife Brenda in January of 2010. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Shane Westmoreland and wife Robin Ann; parents, Joe Douglas and Ina J. Brower Sr.; brothers, Joe Douglas Brower, Jr. and wife Beverley and Roy Lee Brower; grandchildren, Robby and Kayla Westmoreland and two special nieces, Kelly Kivett and J.J. Stevenson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Wesleyan Church, 2400 South Holden Road, Greensboro, NC 27407.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
