Benny Miller

Benny Lee Miller, 74, formerly of Greensboro, died Friday, October 28, 2022, at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

He was born May 8, 1948, in Salisbury and was the son of the late Eugene E. and Julia Rebecca Aaron Miller. He was a decorated U.S. Army veteran and served as a Ranger during the Vietnam War. For many years, Benny was owner and operator of Miller Auto Sales in Greensboro. He was an avid golfer and photographer, owning his own photography business.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, who helped raised him, Harriett Miller.

Benny is survived by his brother, Bobby Miller (Doris) of Archdale; sister, Judy Drye (Larry) of Salisbury; special nieces and nephews, David Miller (Amy) of Greensboro, Lisa Singleton and Cynthia Grimsley, both of Lacey, Washington.

A service with military honors accorded by the U.S. Army and the Randolph County Honor Guard will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the Columbarium of the National Cemetery in Salisbury.
