RONALD WAYNE SMITH

Ronald Wayne Smith, 52, of 7721 Stonewood Drive, departed this world Tuesday, March 6, 2001, to be with his Lord and Savior. He has been taken to the big race track in the sky.The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2001, at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Chapel.

Ron worked at Pine State Tool as a CNC programmer. He enjoyed his gospel music, such as the Bill Gaither Group and others. Ron and Trisha spent many a happy weekend at the dirt track races. He loved his family dearly and he will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Trisha) Smith of the home; son and daughter-in-law, William (Billy) Lee Smith and Julie Smith of Ramseur; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy Smith Edwards and Tim Edwards of Archdale; step-daughter, Gwendolyn (Wendy) Simpson Thompson and husband, Stephen Thompson of Stokesdale; parents, William and Peggy Smith of Greensboro; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Cecil Hill of Greensboro; sister, Vicky Smith of Baton Rouge, La.; and two grandchildren, Teresa and Dylan.
